Before helping Circon navigate the complexities of carbon and commodity trading efforts, Bill served as Executive VP of Gas and Electric Software Markets for Sungard, which is now part of FIS. There, he was responsible for the total customer care of hundreds of global energy clients. His expert understanding of proprietary trading software enabled him to market next generation product to the largest pipeline operators across Europe, including the French and Italian governments, Gaz de France, ENI and SNAM with projected annual revenue of $10M.

Bill also assisted the Italian Government with their privatization of Italy’s natural gas energy sector, resulting in a public flotation for ENI of roughly 2 billion Lira.

Earlier in his career, as Executive VP of Global Professional Services at Spherion, Bill developed custom trading applications which accounted for 15% of all natural gas trades in North America, serving customers including Dynegy, Duke, Koch, Noram Energy Services, Reliant and ONEOK.

Bill was also responsible for deploying teams and developing the first electricity trading applications for energy deregulation in CA/CALISO, TX/ERCOT and NJ/PJM.

A golfer and avid walker, Bill rarely misses a daily workout. Together with his wife of 33 years, they founded the Weathersby Charitable Foundation to fund the organizations that deliver hands-on help to distressed individuals and families.
