David Duren, Chairman, CEO, and Founder of Circon Energy, LLC, is a leading figure in the energy transition, driving energy innovation through a circular economy. Drawing upon his extensive experience in various industry roles, David has spearheaded energy transformation by reimagining the integration of sustainability and responsibility to achieve impactful objectives.

In addition to his leadership at Circon, David is Founder and Chairman of ReCO2, LLC. As an innovator in carbon neutrality for sustainable business applications, David co-founded Net Zero, LLC and serves as Chairman of the eAI Institute, a not-for-profit research institute optimizing ESG with AI systems for environmental stewardship outcomes. Previously, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Relevant Solutions, LLC.

A native of Houston, Texas, Mr. Duren holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from Texas A&M University. He actively engages in guest lecturing at his alma mater’s College of Engineering, sharing insights on leadership, sustainability, and character development.

On a personal note, David has been married for 31 years and has five children, two sons-in-law and one grandson. He and his wife actively participate in strategic leadership roles within their community. David also serves on national boards, including Chair of Reformed Youth Ministries (RYM), Board of Trustees of Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, the Leadership Council of Texas A&M University’s Association of Former Students, and Christ the King Presbyterian Church in Houston.
