Jonathan Taylor
Independent Advisor, Economic Development & Government Relations
Jon Tayor is responsible for the overall growth and development of a premier utility management and billing enterprise. His previous experience developing the economic and electrical power infrastructure for Texas has given him a deep understanding of the energy market.
Previously serving as Executive Director of Economic Development & Tourism for the Office of the Governor of Texas, Jon helped create and manage the nation's most active and successful suite of economic development programs, which then became a global model for success.
As Resilience Program Director for the Lower Colorado River Authority, Jon was integral in the creation of the leading electrical generation and transmission business continuity and resilience effort in the state, serving millions of people and thousands of miles of electrical transmission lines. When other large utilities were crushed during the ice storm of 2021, LCRA continued to provide power and services with minimal disruption.
Mr. Taylor’s deep experience with energy markets and energy-focused innovations have allowed him to become a trusted advisor at the highest levels of state and national leadership, including cabinet members and governors. Most recently, Texas Governor Greg Abbott tapped Jon for the state's COVID-19 Task Force to source and test new, creative, and innovative manufacturing processes to overcome global supply chain issues.
A US Army veteran, Jon served as a frontline combat medic and combat advisor, where he not only provided direct medical care under fire, but created, trained, and manned the first safe and fully staffed medical clinic in Shajoy, Afghanistan, serving both Afghan military personnel and civilians alike.
Jon still volunteers by providing medical and logistical support in austere locations around the globe through the Team 5 Medical Foundation, as well as helping his local food bank.
