As the Chief Legal Officer of Circon, Tim is responsible for overseeing the legal affairs of the company.

Prior to his role at Circon, Tim was the Sr. Managing Counsel – International, for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, one of the largest international independent energy companies in the world.  At Anadarko, he was responsible for leading a highly skilled legal team, overseeing all international legal work associated with the company’s new ventures, exploration, development, and production activities.

Before Anadarko, Tim served as Sr. Counsel, Litigation at ConocoPhillips where he managed a large oil and gas litigation docket for the company. He was also previously in private practice with Locke Lord in Dallas, Texas, and Hinkle Shanor in New Mexico.

Mr. Brown earned his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law, cum laude, after receiving his Bachelor of Arts, with honor, from Baylor University.  Following law school, he was a law clerk to the Honorable Bobby R. Baldock, United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit for two years.

Tim is licensed to practice law in Texas and is also a licensed customs broker.  He serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law – International Transactions at South Texas College of Law Houston.  He also serves on the board of several charitable organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Southern Texas Chapter.
